KELCEY CARRASCO

Coach Kelcey Carrasco brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in player development to KC Athletics. Currently serving as the Co-Head Coach of the 18U Cen Cal Dirtdogs, she leads the team’s offensive strategy and works closely with the program’s catchers. In addition to her team coaching responsibilities, she continues to provide private instruction to elite-level catchers and hitters, building on five years of success training athletes throughout the Central Valley.

Coach Carrasco began her collegiate coaching career with positions at both the University of Southern Indiana (USI) and Fresno City College. In her first season at USI, she played a pivotal role in guiding the Screaming Eagles to the NCAA Division II World Series, while earning NFCA Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year honors. During her time at USI, she worked primarily with catchers and hitters, helping to shape one of the top-performing offenses in the region.

As a former Division I athlete, Carrasco played at Michigan State University and Fresno State. At Michigan State, she made an immediate impact, setting the program’s freshman home run record with 11 homers, ranking ninth in the Big Ten that season. Over two years with the Spartans, she posted a .310 batting average, with 17 home runs and 73 RBIs.

After transferring to Fresno State, she continued her high-level performance, hitting .280 with 12 home runs and 56 RBIs from 2019–2021. Despite a season-ending injury in her senior year, she hit .329 with six home runs and 26 RBIs over 27 starts and played a key role in helping lead the Bulldogs to the 2021 Mountain West Championship.

Her academic achievements are equally impressive. Carrasco was a two-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree at Fresno State and earned NFCA Second-Team All-Region honors during her freshman year at Michigan State. A native of Woodlake, California, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Fresno State in 2021, followed by a Master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Southern Indiana in 2022. She is currently pursuing her teaching credential in Physical Education through National University.

Coach Carrasco brings a rare combination of collegiate playing success, coaching experience, and educational excellence, making her a vital leader and role model for the athletes at KC Athletics.
